Got a guy over on the FALfiles who is working on making a new scope-mount receiver cover for the FAL.  There has been quite a lot of interest (ok, me and another guy) in having it slotted for the ACOG, ala GSRC and DSA.  I'm going to send him my TA31f to get the dimensions and screw spacing, but I need to know if all of the TA01, TA31, TA11 ACOGs have the same size base & screws.  I am assuming (which may be a bad thing) that a compact would also fit the slot, just a little extra blank slot because of the shorter mount.

Any advice you care to pass along would be appreciated.

NOOOOOOO! They are not all the same.

I don't know the answer, but I have more confusion over at my thread.

The slot should be machined with angled sides like the TA51 and Larue mounts so the screw tension centers the rail in the slot.  The bottom of the ACOG rail should not "bottom out" in the slot.
