[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ring height?

I got a J&T 20" kit with the non folding FSB. I got an optic but still looking for rings. The Warne 1" Rings look good but what height do i need to clear the FSB? Would the High version be good? I know that on a higer power the scope "sees" though the front sight post. Thanks

After 3X or 4X, your FSB becomes a shadow, barely seen in your scope. Yor scope essentially sees through the FSB. You don't need to clear the FSB to mount a scope.

Get the rings that will put the scope in line with your eyes when you have a cheekweld on the stock. For most, it's the Super High 1.4" size.
