Anyone have any experiences w/ fiber front posts?

I'm currently running an EOTech (on a LaRue) w/ a fixed BUIS and a Trijicon front post. I like to practice w/ the irons about as much as w/ the eotech, and sometimes shoot matches (un-affiliated 3-gun) w/ just the irons.

I've seen some fiber sights on pistols I've really liked, but not on an AR.  I was looking around on Brownells for some other things and saw these:
firesight
Hiviz
Sightlink

Thanks for any input!!

I have one on my 870 hunting SG. I'm usually out just before or during sunrise and it's impossible to pick up the bead with my eyes. For this applications I think it works great, however I would never put one on a defensive firearm.

I too run trijicon NS on the front post of all my AR's.

Reasons?  Also, this is not a SWAT rifle, and I'm not expecting the taliban tomorrow. The rifle is used in 3-gun matches and some plinking, so while it does get tossed around a little, I ain't knocking down doors in faluja with it.  Even if the fiber broke or fell out, etc, I would think it would still work fine as an iron post.

The place we hold matches is all sand/dirt, the targets are cardboard (IDPA targets), and the trees make odd shadows... result? It's sometimes tough to pick out the front sight, especially when you're battling the clock.  The trijicon doesn't do shit then.  I've seen some fiber on fellow shooter's pistols, and like them. I've promissed myself my match pistol will get them when I make master (I'm shooting high expert now in idpa with regular irons).

So...... does ANYONE have experience with the products I list (or any other models/brands)???  Or will I have to be the guinee pig?  If so, I'll promiss a full write-up...

Thanks!!!!! :)

At one time I shot a lot of limited rifle. At 100 yards against a dirt background brown targets are hard to see at times. I'd think the fiber optic front sight would tend to make the target visability issue even worse. It would be great up close though.

Try Paul @ MSTN.  He had one rigged up in a PRI flip-up at RM3G.

I like the fiber optic sight on my S&W Model 627 revolver. I have one on my Browning Gold 12 gauge as well.

I thought about buying one of these fiber optic sights for my AR-15 (Mounts Plus sells one), but since I use an Eotech, I fear that I'll be seeing two bright dots when I should only be focusing on one. If I had a front flip-up sight, I guess it wouldn't be an issue but as of right now I do not.

Zak,
Thanks for the contact tip, I'll send him an IM or email.

themao,
I'm hoping since the EOTech is up on the LaRue mount, and I'm thinking I would use green on the fiber, that seeing both would not be a problem.

Looking more and more like I'll have to just try one and see how it works on the fixed front-post AR platform...

thanks everyone.
