Alright I have a Bushy M4A2 type carbine:

I just got an Eotech 512 and need some suggestions for mounting it. I'm going to buy a flat top receiver to replace the A2 receiver, but I would like to be able to keep the A2 style sight if possible.  I also dont have the railed handguards, so keep that in mind. I guess what i'm asking is what rear sight will work along with the eotech 512 to cowitness.

All the back up iron sights will work with the EO Tech.

If you want to keep the A2 style then look at the ones from LMT and Bushmaster.

So any of the back up iron sights will work with the Eotech and be able to cowitness without any other mounting brackets? I thought i had read somewhere that the a lot of the irons sit differently then the A2 irons and won't sight in the same with the A2 front sight post. I could be wrong though.

My EO reticule cowitnesses directly atop the stock front post when mounted to my flat top M4.  Adding a Larue or ARMS 54 underneath will raise it if that is your preference.

get the new upper and take the carry handle and cut it.... you have the actual A2 rear sight plus your eotech...

Well I would have to buy the detachable carry handle to do that and I wouldnt really want to have to cut something up to fit my AR. Thanks for the suggestion though.
