Ive seen a few advertised but Aimpoint's website does not advertise them.They are advertised as having 2x power magnification.Please explain what 2x power magnification means or is it a waste of money?

I own one and love it. 2x means it is magified. Every thing you see threw it looks 2 times as close.
Most of the users here do not like the 2x version. NoKarma

So its true magnification.The magnification is selectable or is it a permanent?Thanks
