| I installed my Aimpoint ML2 on an ARMS 22M68 mount for co-witnessing. When at the range tonight, I noticed the red dot was way off for where my Bushmater was hitting the paper. Are the Aimpoint designed for accuracy, or simply target acquisition? Currently, the red-dot is up and right of the point of impact. Shoudl the Aimpoint be adjusted to directly at point of impact or should it be "in the area", since it's 4MOA? Any input greatly appreciated... |
| you should at least be getting the same type of accuracy as you do with iron sights. Aimpoints wont really increase accutracy, but you should be zeroed. Were your shots consistantly high or low, left or right/ If so, just make the necessary adjustments to the optic. If you are all over the place it would lead me to believe that you are having trouble shooting or that you dont have all the screws on your mount tightened. |

I'd recomend zeroing your Aimpoint at 50 yards, as it will then be zero at 200 yards as well(due to trajectory). This gives you a good working zero from 25 out to even 300 yards. An Aimpoint is amazingly affective even out to that range. Once you have it dialed in, you won't be dissapointed. Good Luck |
