Hey all, I have an Ultradot that I can't get away from using.  I received one as a present from my Wife an need to use it.  I have an eotech that is on my cetme with a choate folder and need to use the ultradot on my M-4gery.

I have been told by a few people that ultradots are used for pistol competions and by some law enforcement bodies.  You guys think they are tough enough for real heavy use.  I will most likely never use this for combat, but I do like to be ready for SHTF.

Thanks all,
Mortis...

My brother in law has had one mounted on a FAL for years.  Its held up to the recoil.

For a range toy, it'd be fine, but its not war-worthy.  You already have that.

I have two Ultradots, one on a 1911 and the other on a Smith 41.  These are much better than some of the earlier model aimpoints I had (model 2000?).  They have nice round dots, but the adjustments were a little weird.  For example, 5-6 is a little more bright, 6-7 is alot more bright.

One on my 1911's with the ultradot has about 5k rounds through it.  The zero seems precise, although I've had to have my frame tightened and had a new barrel installed.  Plus they don't really hog the batteries down.
