I have been shooting for a long time but my experience with telescopic scopes is very limited.  I just got a 16” car model and I want to add a scope.  I don’t want to break the bank, due to the fact that I am a college student on a limited budget.  I looked on cdnn investments out of Texas.  They have a scope that mounts on the carry handle that is a 4x30,  I know what that means the thing I am curious is Illuminated 2-Color Rangefinding Reticle.  That scope is $54.  then there is one for $15 more that 3-9x42 this one says Bullet Drop Compensator. What is the difference between the two, and is it worth it to spend the extra money on the 3-9 power scope?  Any advice is going to be greatly appreciated.

Hi snowborderlb,

A scope for that price I would say stay a way from it but that is my opinion.

I would recommend an IOR M2 like this one:
4x24 M2 .223 Tactical Scope, black, CQB reticle Price: $349.99

IMHO.....don't wast your $$$$$ save up and get something better. You should be able to find a scope in the 250-300 range that will do the job.
