Does anyone have any experience w/ their daytime optics? Specifically the 5X33, 2-6, or 3-9s. Thanks. ==>john |

I have the 2-6 X 40 and the 4-12 X 50. They are very larger and heavy...when comparing them to a Luppie. Things I like: Gather light well Reticle increases in size ans you magnification increases Nice glass Has BDC for .223 out to 500m Things I don't like: Has a yellow hue Very long Very heavy You'll never fine scope covers for it I had the 4-12 on my 16" and it was 5" shorter than the barrel. If I ever missed the target I could lean forward and hit it with the scope. It feels very rugged (must be made of cast iron). Contact me for more specificinfo if you like. |
actually the 5x33 is one of the good scopes they make. the rest have a pretty crappy rep. |

I have an ATN 5x33L and for the price and purpose, like it very much. Re. the covers, last year, I picked up a used spotting scope with a very large Objective, which was missing the covers. Just a thought.. I found that the plastic top from a kitchenware container was a perfect fit. When desperate, improvise. Of course prowling Wal-mart & K-Mart with a ruler was a little suspicious looking... |

I got a 5X33 for one of my 20" rifles, and I liked it enough to get a second one for one of my 16"ers. It's no Leupy but these things are tough and they seem to keep zero forever. I haven't had as good of results with their variable powered scopes, but my opinion is the fixed 5X33 is a great deal for the $200 or so you can find it for. |
