Hello one and all . ..

Kinda new to this, so need some help please . . . . .

Building up a new AR 16 inch carbine with a A3 upper (flat-top).

Pretty sure I'll be getting an EOTech sight but want "something" in the way of a back-up rear sight.  Barrel has a standard front-sight tower installed.

Have looked at several "back-up" rear sights but need to know which ones to consider and which ones to avoid.  And which ones will work with the EOTech.   And the best place to purchase one.

Any ideas / opinions greatly appreciated  ! ! !

Thanks  ! !

I have the ARMS 40. With the EOTech mounted directly to the rail, the co-witness is perfect. The center dot is right on the top of the front sight post. Do a search for "BUIS" and you will find many different options available to you.

I also have the ARMS #40.  You can't go wrong with any of the #40 variants.  The Troy and GG&Gs also have quite a following.

I have a LMT fixed iron sight and a Eotech. I love the combination.

For a fixed BUIs, nothing beats the Larue.  The LMT is a close second.

For a folder, the Troy is my recommendation with the ARMS #40 series follwing close behind.

Never used it but LaRue makes great stuff- I don't doubt that his BUIS is also...

If you have your carry handle and are short on cash you can always cut the rear sight off and use that... nice and cheap for those without cash to burn like myself...

I use the La Rue BUIS and couldn't be happier with it.

I personally have the Yankee Hill flip us BUIS and they are very nice for the money...but the Arms 40 are hard to beat.

ARMS #40.

I can fold it out of the way when it's not needed.

Of the BUIS that fold, the ARMS is it, in my experience.

of the solid, while I dont have lots of experience with, LMT and Larue seem to be the ones I like the most....

But I dont like the BUIS in my sight picture..... so folders for me.....

YMMV
