Or similar. Any thoughts or expereinces would be appreciated. I was just wondering if it is worth having an ACOG with just a dot, it is 2MOA correct? Is that too small, even with BAC, for CQB? TIA |

Hi chewbacca I like the compacts for CQB. The dot and the Triangles lights up real well. We have a TA45-6 in stock. ![]() www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks for AR15 Board Mike at CS Gunworks is... |

i just got a TA45-6 (1.5X24). the dot is 6 MOA. i like it so far, but have only shot it on the range so far....i'll be using it at a match this saturday and get a better idea if its going to work for me or not. i bought it to satisfy my fix after owning a TA31F for a few months. not the best for CQB, not the best for distance....but i think its a good intermediate choice (i plan on using it for my camping/pack rifle). |

update: i used my TA45-6 at the local 2-gun match this morning (rifle/shotgun). there are two courses of fire with the rifle; one "CQB" and one "Long Range". this time the LR stage had 6 steel targets (3 swingers and 3 LaRues) at ranges varying from 50-150 yards (the 2 farthest were probably 150? i'm pretty bad at range estimation....). i shot that stage first and was very impressed with my performance. each target had to be shot once each from two different positions. i had to take more than one shot at the farther targets, but got them all with a handful of shots (this is also the first time i had shot it farther than 25 yards, and wasn't sure how it zeroed at longer ranges). the CQB stage went well also....all paper targets (IDPA/IPSC type silhouettes) from 7 to 50 yards. i blew thru that one pretty well too....the low magnification made it really fast to reacquire targets moving thru the course. i definitely prefer this one over my 4x ACOG for stages like this, but i would have done better on the LR stage with the TA31F. conversely, i probably would have done even better on the CQB stage with my EOTech, but poorer at the farther targets. as i "hypothesized" in my first post....maybe not the best optic for any specific scenario, but a pretty good all around sight. i probably would have chosen the 2x model if the price had been as right, but overall i'm very happy. just my .02 YMMV |
