Hello All

Recently I purchased a ACCOG TRIJICON TA01 and the scope  works great during bright daylight and during the evening hours due to the red cross hairs

However I noticed some odd things about the TA01..such as the fading and blurry cross hairs!

I read the manual and it mentions that the right side of the cross hair should be blurry but seems like the entire cross hair get blurry or just fades out.

This happens a couples times such as:

1)  @ Dusk.. Seem like the TA01 gets confused whether to stay black or turn red and it just fades out instead.

2)  Shooting from under a shadow aiming for targets that not directly exposed to sunlight.  Example would be from shooting from under a shadow (eg under a tree) and aiming for a object not expose to sunlight.  (eg: in a shadow)...

The TA01 works seem to work if the shooter is in daylight as well as the target.

The fading and blurry cross hairs are just annoying.  Is this normal.. or I just got a defective ACOG?

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't look at the crosshairs. Look at the target. That should fix your problem (if I understand your explanation well).

Try what he said, dollars to donuts that it will solve your blurry reticle problem.

I bet anything that what these guys said is right on. Open both eyes, stop trying to look for the crosshairs. Instead, look right past the scope at whatever your target is. It happens all the time to people, and as soon as they do as described above, they say... "Oh wow!"

And the first time you look through a BAC Acog in sunlight, you'll say, "HOLY $#%+!  I'm selling my TA01!"

You may have  astigmatism.
Take a digital pic of the crosshair when it gives you problems.
If the pic shows 90 degree angles, it's your eyes.

Me neither, that's why I haven't made any serious attempt at selling my TA11
