Un;tra high rings or high rings and an ARMS sleeve or other type of rail riseer ought to do the job.  I'm sure there are other ways to do it as well.

Armalite 1" scope mount

If you're out looking for a shadow, you'll see one - especially on low magnification. If concentrating on the target, it's no big deal - above 4x is sweet.

"Size" flip-ups?? There are two kinds. Gas block flips, and handguard mounted flips.

I suggest a gas block flip. your cheapest source is probably bushmaster or fulton armory. Get their 3 and 4 rail (respectively) gas blocks, and the accompanying flip front sight.

other makers are PRI front flip, Yankee Hill Machining, and GG&G.

how do you size flip-ups

Bought the scope at Gander Mountain. I asked the guy behind the counter what size covers it needed. He said right up front that he didn't know (can't blame him), so we walked over to the rack where all the Butler Creek stuff was. We opened packages until we found two that fit - can't do that over the internet!

Measure with calipers and compare with what's listed on the package is the other way.

(flip up lens covers you )

Anyhow, I tried that and found that they were missing the one i needed.  they had a cover, but not a flip up (which isn't KEWWWWL at all!).  I will have to order online.
