Ok folks, spill the beans...who has them.  Someone HAS to have them in stock, some non-internet local store you go to...so little hole in the wall you know of....gimme the dirt....i need the inside scoop.

I have read the differing opinions on the Hakko vs Aimpoint, and have decided that for MY purposes and my budget, the hakko will more than suffice.

thanks in advance.

soon as i find someone local who has it, attatch it to a flat top, sight it in, drop it on the floor 4 or 5 times, and confirm that the zero does not move, i will buy like 5 of em

Im very interested too. My M4gery is a safe queen, so I can live with the Tacpoint if I could find one for sale somewhere.

i am thinking beater for the kids ar's, and loaner gun optics, stuff that does not break me if it comes up broken/missing

as for me, i am just doing my very first AR build, and the tacpoint looks like a viable optic for my new "fun gun"....

If i were going to IRAQ rather than dental school, maybe i would be more concerned, and opt for a battle proven scope...however, i do not plan on entering into combat with my rifle, only taking it to the desert to kill things that were never alive to begin with (cans, paper, cactus).he
I just however, wish that i could find a tacpoint for sale somewhere...i have emailed all of the "out of stock" merchants, with no replies yet...

I called and  they said they will have seven hundred by the end of next week (7/23) or so. If you call them, they will put you on the e-mail list

I had the BED-35 and frankly, I didn't use the different reticles.  I found the dot to be what I needed.  Played with all the rest but always went back to the dot.  HTH

how was the scope in general??  did it hold up nicely?

It is well made, though not mil-spec by any stretch.  It could be used on a LEO trunk gun, but I don't know about an entry gun w/o being real careful.
