I'm going to build an M4 upper for my Colt pre ban.  I'll likely use the DD 9.5 FSP also.  I'm currently using a 20" A2 with a TA01 mounted in the carry handle.  My primary sighting device will be the TA01 ACOG mounted in an ARMS #10 mount (I already have the mount, came with the scope.)  I also have an Aimpoint ML2 in a 22M68 mount that I will throw on occassionally.  I'm trying to decide on the following BUIS options, but I need some advice:

1.)  Swan Sleeve #38, TA01 in #10 and standard FSB (as in not folding.)
       - will the rear sight clear the scope?
       - cheek weld quality?  The CW with my current setup doesn't bother me.  How will it compare?
       - will FSB ghosting be a problem?
       - will I  need a spacer with the 22M68 in this setup?
2.)  ARMS #40L, TA01 in #10 and standard FSB
       - will the 40L fit under the TA01 in the #10 mount?
       - cheek weld?  The scope will be lower than with the Swan, but is it too low?
       - will FSB ghosting be more of a problem?
       - spacer needed for the 22M68?
3.)  Swan #38, TA01 in #10 and PRI folding front sight/gas block
       - same issues as above, plus sight compatibility.  Will the PRI and #38 zero correctly?
4.)  ARMS #40L, TA01 in #10 and PRI folding sight/gas block.
       - will these zero properly?
5.)  Same as #3 and #4, but with a different folding front sight?  Recommendations?

How do these options sound?  The only thing I'm committed to is the TA01, ARMS #10, ML2 and 22M68, because I own those pieces already.  Any feedback or help would be appreciated.

I'd skip the #38 rails, they will put your ACOG higher than you need it to be. Just get a #40 or #40L folding sight and get a spacer for your Aimpoint mount. That way you'll have no issues with cheek weld, your ACOG will fit over the BUIS etc.

I agree. Then you can decide on the PRI front sight at any time, you can use your standard FSB in the meantime while you decide (the PRI front sight is identical in height when deployed as a standard FSB, either will work with whichever rear sight choice).

Thanks guys.  This also helps save me a few bucks.  Between the 40L and the 40/40A, which is the "better" choice?  Since it soundsl ike the 40/40A will fit under my TA01, I'll go with that (again saving a few bucks.)  Also, I can't seem to determine the difference between the #40 and the #40A.

I'm trying to get these little details hammered out, as I'm procrastinating on the big decision, like which M4 upper to get!  I'm leaning towards the LMT, but that is a question for another thread.......

Hmmm, the only difference I see is the 500m aperture is milled flush with the body.  Is that it?

That's the only diffeence, they're otherwise identical. Click on the pic for more info.

I don't have one to photograph, I haven't received any yet. Hopefully soon.
