I recently bought a Remington 700P (PSS), in .308. After much research and consideration on optics selection, I've decided to go with the Tasco Super Sniper scope (I haven't quite decided which magnification to go with... it's between the 10X and 16X).

For the mounting base, I'm considering the Badger Ordinance one piece mount.

The rings are a toss-up; I've narrowed them down to the ARMS #22, and the Badger Ordinance.

I like the convenience of quick detachable rings; although I don't consider it a necessity. My primary concern is a rock sold mounting platform; which makes me lean more towards the Badger rings.

As far as a stable and reliable mounting system is concerned, how well do the ARMs compare to the Badger Ordinance? How well does the ARMs return to zero?

A question on ring height; if I go with the Badger, which one would I need: .823, .885, 1.00?
If I go with the ARMs: low or Medium?

I want to keep the scope mounted as low as possible.

get the badgers, as far as the scope, the super sniper is awesome. i would get the mediums, although, you can probably get by with the standards.
