Which ACOG model is the "issue" one?

Does it have the back up sight built in?

I assume it comes ready to mount on a flattop?

What type of reticle does it have and what is the magnification?

Finally, what is a good price?

Thanks much, Gentlemen!

go here:  http://www.trijicon.com/

then click on "acog", then "TA01NSN".

It is a 4x scope with night illumination.  Crosshair type reticle with ranging built in.

TA01NSN is the issued with in the Army SOPMOD package.

TA31F is what the Marines are currently issuing for some of the M16A4.

You can also find pictures of US Army soldiers in Iraq using TA31s that I am assuming were privately purchased.

I like the TA31's & the TA11's over the TA01NSN.

Is there a version with the back up sights a la TA01NSN but with the donut or chevron reticule?

Am I correct in my understanding that with both eyes open on a donut reticule ACOG you get a Aimpoint or EOTech type of effect for CQB and just go one eye closed for the scope type use? Is that what what BAC means, Bindon Aiming Concept or something? (To me BAC is Blood Alcohol Content! [:D])

Finally, I assume the ones without the fiber optic piece rely solely on the tritium for illumination? Is one with the fiber optic much preferred. Why would the military version not have this?

Thanks Guys!
