I was trying to remove the front sight on my AR last night to replace it with a new gas block. I had a heck of a time getting the pins out but finally did. I knocked the pin out for the gas tube. I probably should have used a new pin to re-install but did not have one. Anyway, destroyed the pin trying to put it back together, can't get the gas tube out of the new gas block. Anyboby that has done one of these please let me know how you did it. I want to learn how to do these things and have followed directions from the manual but the manual doesn't tell you what to do when it all goes to hell! Thanks Mike |

So, the gas tube stuck, or the pin? If it is the tube, read this: ishttp://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=181343 If it is the pin, get yourself a roll pin punch of the proper size and hammer away [;)]. You may have left a small fragment of the pin in there that is binding up the tube. Grab th tube as described in the link and twist... HTH |
