The M2 cost $100 more and has a diopter adjustment to allow those who were corrective lens (glasses/contacts) to tweak their perscription correction into the scope to allow them to focus without their glasses or contacts. Edited to add it's also a bit shorter and lighter.

i don't really see the point of this....if you really need prescriptive lenses (like i do, BAD!) i don't see much use for this, because while i can adjust the scope to correct for my vision while i'm looking thru it, i still can't scan for targets past 10m without my glasses!  strictly a target shooter option it seems....i'll be damned if anything but a bullet to the face is gonna separate me from my glasses while i'm shooting!
