I have narrowed it down to one of two sights for my M-4.
1. Trijicon TA01NSN
2. Trijicon TA01

Help guys which should I go with?
I know the NSN is more money, but I want the better of the two and I don't care about the extra money.
Other suggestions from anyone who has had these scopes and found another brand or model to be better is appreciated.

You haven't given us NEARLY enough information to help you decide.  Neither would be a top choice for a *general purpose* optic; we like the TA31 much better for that.  I'm assuming you've read through the threads tacked to the top?

Of the two you've mentioned, I personally prefer the TA01 over the NSN.  I far prefer red illumination, as it creates more contrast with just about everything than amber does.  I also like the fully-lit reticule over the NSN's center-lit only.  The BDC is also better in the TA01 in my opinion.

The NSN does have one advantage, and that is you can install an Optima or Dr. Optic on it in place of the worthless iron sights.  But, again, the TA31 would be a much better choice in the first place if you're going to do that.

Yes, there are specific roles where the TA01 may be better suited than the TA31: where accuracy is much more important than speed, such as being a sniper's spotter.  But that's an exception, not the rule.

If you are in Western Ohio and coming the Indy 1500 in Indianapolis IN there should be several TA01 series and TA31f at the show.

I started out liking the TA01 series better but end up the the TA31 (the TA31f would be a better match to the uses the TA01 is for).

The scopes I would recommend TA11, TA31’s, TA01, and the TA01NSN.  The TA11 I like because of its fiber-optic donut and the eye relief.  The TA31’s I like for its fiber-optic donut or triangle.   I like the TA01 because of its full line illumination.  TA01NSN it is set up for a 62gr for a 14.5”-16” barrel, has backup iron sights for defensive ambush fire good for 20 30 yards, or you can install an Optima or Dr. Optic on it in place iron sights.

We have the TA11, TA01, TA01c, and the TA01NSN in stock.  The TA31’s should be coming in soon.

Which Docter Optic is recommened to replace the iron sights on the TA01NSN?
What is the best way to mount the Docter to the TA01NSN?

I see you have the TA01NSN, but do you have the Docter optic and mount for the TA01NSN?
