I recently acquired a TA01NSN, and have a few questions.  1) I was wondering whether these could be used on a regular "hunting rifle" like a Browning A-Bolt or something of the like.  If the answer is yes, what type rings, size, brand is recommended?  2) What does BAC stand for?

With a TA01 installed on an ARMS #19S base, you could install it on any gun with a Picatinny/Mil-Spec 1913 rail.
