Is it just a matter of personal taste or are there advantages to mounting an Eotech on flat top as far forward OR rearward as possible? What works best for you guys?

I bought a SIR 50 so I could push mine out as far as possible.  In my opinion, the holographic sights work better further from the eye.  With the EOtech out pretty far on mine, my target acquisition speed has improved.  May just be a matter of personal preference though.  Good luck!
