I ran across a NCStar scope yesterday.  It was a 3x9x42 with a mil dot illuminated reticle.  I was about 7.5 inches long with a .223 bullet drop compensator.  The guy at the gun show wanted $99, but I found it on the web for $59.  This looked like a pretty good buy for a low end scope.
Does anyone have any knowledge or expirence with this scope or brand of scope?

I bought me a 3-9X42 ncstar scope about 6 months ago. I only had it mounted for a couple weeks, though. It was a decent scope for what I paid for it(I wasn't expecting much).
Mine help up fine for the 50 rnds I fired while it was mounted.

Like bresky said, it's fine for casual plinking. I'm sure there'll be several people who chime in and recommend a $500 scope anyway. Don't expect the moon and you won't be disappointed. Mine doesn't have a BDC reticle - didn't know NcStar made one like that.
