Depends on range / usage

At close ranges from feet to 75 yards and in partiuclar at multiple targets which you have limited time to fire on, would consider the Eotech
or
Aimpoint M2

Both of these sights work at longer distances of 200 yards or even 300 yards for larger and/or high contrast targets (I find it hard to see 6" low contrast targets at 300 yards [:)] )

As the distance goes past 100 yards and the target size goes smaller (i.e. tin cans at 300 yards) maginfiation helps a lot.  If all your shooting is at targets that you do not have to shoot fast and you will not be shooting at distances measured in feet, in particular in poor light, then a nice 3.5 to 10 Leupold mil dot scope or similar is IMO a reasonable option (for closer and larger ranges one could make a case for the a lower power variable scope).

To do everthing from the muzzle to 300 plus yards then one of the ACOGs looks to be the perfect option (I am still shopping between a TA11 vs TA31).
