I'm looking at some form of sight akin to the Holosight to stick on the top of my rifle.

Shop's looking to sell me this Hakko thingus, or at least something similar.

It seems to be pretty much what I have in mind, an un-magnified, high field-of-vision sight very suitable for snapshooting at fairly close ranges, but I've not been able to find a review of the thing online.

Anyone have anything to say, yay or nay?

Put an EOTech on top and fugitaboutit.  That looks too fragile for my taste.  Go with the good stuff.

The Hakko is an AWESOME shooting sight! It's somewhat of a pain to zero and isn't made to jump out of airplanes on the back of a 20 year old combat  soldier. It's reticle is at the correct height to cowitness, at least the original version is.

On an HBAR II. I have experienced zero problems so far.

I have one too and find that it will co-witness with the sights. I have the newer model BED 35.
