Ok, I mounted my new ARMS 40, and the darn nut keeps coming off.  Obviously, I need to lock-tite it.  What sort of locktite should I use?  I do want to be able to remove the ARMS 40 fairly easily.  Thanks.

Why not red?

What's the difference??

Blue loctite lets you remove the part, red requires heat to remove the part.  In general, I use blue for all firearm applications.  I think it is #242.

The screw's thread pitch is fairly large and course, and the bearing surface decently large, so Medium-strength will be plenty.  As screw size increases, you need to use WEAKER Locktite for the same job.

exactly.

red is unnecessary.  the first time you try to remove it you may end up damaging the head of the bolt.

I ASSume, then, that the blue is the best choice?

Yes, Medium Strength = Blue.
