These give you an aiming dot during the day that is "lit" by the collected sunlight. It does nothing at night. It also means that your front sight post is fatter, and less precise.
IMO, why do you need to see your front sight better in the daylight? I just don't see a need for these things; the AR iron sights are great as-is. -Troy |

I'll second that. In our training class, the range is littered with these colored plastic thingies because they fell off of some poor guy's front site, I'll bet he didn't bother to replace it after that. IMHO the only worthy front sight replacement is a night sight.
