Hi Guys: I am consider getting a TA11 ACOG. Can anyone out there who owns a TA11 tell me can it be use for cqb work? Can it be mounted behind the RAS2 hump? If anyone has that set-up please post a pic. I just want to know how it looks before I buy it.  Really appreciated!  M4C

You mean you missed all the pics in the tacked thread? [:d]
I'll take a pic for ya, I did put it on my RAS II carbine and am considering making the change permenant (and using the TA01NSN on the 20" barrel rifle instead)
You can use it for CQB, just rmember to aim couple of inches higher.

It can be used, sure.  I owned one, then sold it cause I wanted an EoTech as most/all my shooting is always under 200 yards, more so under 50 yards.

Can the TA11 be used?  Absolutely, and very well.  But for CQB there are less expensive and better suited optics.

I'm guessing you don't use a nose-to-charging handle hold, Duffy. [:D]

Well Bart, with the RAS II and BUIS my mounting options are either on or off [:)]
I like to mount the TA11 about 3 or 4 rails forward on my RAS equipped rifle.  On the M4gery, due to the longer eye relief of the TA11 I now can have the stock fully extended, versus the TA01NSN where I have to use the 2nd or 3rd position.

Guys, thanks for all your inputs, especially Duffy for posting that nice pic. The TA11 look very cool behind the RAS2. Thanks again! M4C

I found the TA11 to be WAY to far back with a RAS2 thats why I decided to go FF RAS.  I suggest FF RAS to anyone considering a TA11.
