Does it matter where in the rings I put my scope?
Is there a certain area of the scope that you dont want your rings placed?
Im shooting a G3 clone with leupold 4.5x14x40.
Haven't put it on yet, because Im also needing the correct height of rings.
Any reccomendations on the rings?

On semi-automatics you'll not want to interfere with the ejection pattern of your rifle.

Have a look at the ARMS #22 ring for about $100 - they come in three sizes, are removable with a lever and repeat zero.

If that's above your budget look at the Leupold QZR rings which are similar to the ARMS in that they are removable. They're just a tad less rugged in my experence and run about $60.

The front of your scope is 40mm which means a medium height scope ought to give you a good cheek weld and keep the scope above the reciever.
