I Just bought a ARMS #46SL Slim-Line SIR, an ARMS #40 BUIS and a EOTech 552.  I'm getting nervous now since I don't really know if this setup will work. I didn't have a lot of time to reserch it since I'm on my way to Iraq! Please help.

Thanks

as far as co-witness, this set up will not enable that, but as far as how everything will mount, this setup is good to go.  you should have gotten the #50 slim line bi-level for the EOTech to co-witness.  can you have it exchanged before you deploy??

another way is to get an Aimpoint with ARMS #22/M68 mount.

Crap dude, see if you can trade your #46 SIR for a #50 SIR. The #50 has the bi-level rail that will allow you to mount the EoTech and still co-witness. You *CAN* mount the EoTech on the #46, but you will not be able to co-witness your irons. It will sit too high.

I would rather the irons sit in the lower third of the view window anyways, for a less obstructed view of the 552, would this be the case?  And yes I still have time to swap it out.
I need your advice peeps!

I think I can exchange it. So the #50 is the way to go?  Also, is the slimline any better than the standard width? Is the Civilian as sturdy as the millitary version?  Boy i'm full of questions today[:)]

thanks

The C and the M should both work fine. If you're going to mount this on a service rifle you should probably get the C. You have to remove the Delta ring to mount the M and the armorer might not like you taking 'his' rifles apart.

I'd go with the slim #50 because it's easier to hold on to while wearing thick gloves.
