I have checked using the 'Search' feature without a lot of success, so here goes...

I would like to purchase a gooseneck mount that would enable me to mount a ProPoint sight on my fixed handle Colt CAR-15 Government Mod. Until lately, the Propoint was mounted on top on the carry handle. Too high! Any recommendations? (And, I don't want to spent a fortune)

Well, there's the ARMS#39, but most ARMS stuff costs a fortune. I know there are other goosenecks, but I can't attest to their quality.

ARMS #39 A2 is great. I just bought one off the EE at a good price..."used" but I can't tell it from new. The Aimpoint gooseneck is also used by quite a few guys who say they like it and it is less expensive than the ARMS.

Guys, with the Aimpoint mount position the sight high enough for a proper sight picture? Frankly, I'd rather pay $55 than $125 if the results are close.
