| Well i finaly have the cash for a trijicon acog compact but they are no where to be found. They have all been sent to the sandbox and i have writtin at least 15 dealers. Been on ebay and gunbroker and nothing. Any comments on the TA01? I see a few listed on ebay i know they are only crosshair reticles and there is no BAC but any other comments? Pictures(Mounted on handle plz)? |
| I have the TA01NSN model mounted on a flat top, the reticle is similar except the TA01 has a fully tritium lit (red) reticle, the TA01NSN only has a center lit (amber) one. It's precise for long range due to its cross hair reticle, not great for quick target acquisition though. The eye relief is short, at 1.5 inch, I can't comment on how it works on a carry handle but on my rifle with a BUIS mounted behind it, I have to use the 2nd position on my 4 position stock. |

HI, NEW-ARGUY, I am interested in the TA50 ACOG,with triangle. If the zero is at 50 yards where would someone hold the tip of the triangle say at 400 yards or long. I know it does not have the bullet drop like the TA31, but I think a person could still hit out as far just will be harder. Thanks,Kev |
| I know much less about Comp ACOGs than others. Fight4yourrights has a Comp ACOG and has done a lot of shooting with it. As I recall, he suggested zeroing the Comp ACOGs at 75 yards. I believe this was when it is mounted to the carry handle. With a 75 yard zero, you obtain a pretty flat trajectory between the optics line of sight and the bullets line of travel. |
