right now i have a leapers 4x20 attatcher to the handle,  today i went to the gun store and was lookin at new scopes, the guy there said i would have to take the handel off and mount the scope right on the flat top to keep my head from being too high up,  does anyone have any probs with their head being too high up?

In general, most of the carry handle mount scopes give you a less than optimal cheek weld.  More like a jaw or chin weld.  Not that recoil is really an issue with 5.56, but a high head position accentuates the perception of recoil.

With regards to the leapers, I just had an idea today.  Has anyone tried putting one of these or the original colt scopes in an ARMS or Acog mount for the Acog and using it directly on the flat top?  Seems to me it should work, though I'd hate to pay 2 or 3 times the cost of the scope just to get a mount.
