wouldn't it be great, to have a red dot sight with programmable memory settings. so that you could set your zero at multiple distances like pre set stations on a radio?!?! then depending on the distance, you could just pick the desired preset. also a range finder reticle !!! Am I crazy? or does this sound like a winner? EO TECH? hint hint. Well just a thought I had and thought I would share. |

Hehe!...wishful thinking I believe. Your suggestion doesn't really follow the KISS principle and more to do is more to go wrong. Optics like an EOtech or Aimpoint are more for CQB-type operations anyway and are somewhat limited at distance with their lack of magnification so it's probably not necessary to have such precision. Another point to add here would be that zeroing the optics at 50yrds/meters or whatever allows you to hit very near the target at many ranges so again, precision isn't a huge concern.
