Are simmons scopes good optics to put on a varminter set-up?  They seem priced well with a good warranty, but i want some good opinions first.  Thanks for any answers in advance.

I've got a couple of Simmons "Whitetails" that have held up over the last ten years of use so far.

They are very good for plinking and are a lot of value for their cost. I wouldn't bet my life on the scope.

Have a look at Weaver series of scopes if you can afford $200-$300 vice the $120 for the Simmons.

My 44mag series 6-20x44 has been fine for 2 years on my flattop. But I can't trust anything that light on a 308 or for serious woods traveling. For long plinking it is $150 well spent so far.
