Hi Guys,

AR15 newbie here, so bear with me.

I have a Flattop AR15 rifle, Buahmaster lower, unsure of upper, but I have NO front sight.  Have seen the removeable carry handles & other removeable rears, but so far, have not seen any removeable front sights.  I plan on using a red-dot pretty much all the time, but if I ever want to go to iron sights, am I screwed?

There IS a smallish Pic rail where the front sight goes.

Nah...there are plenty of removable front sight assemblies out there. Bushmaster even sells one, but you can probably pick one up by putting out a "call" on the EE.

I'm in the same boat. Just got an Armalite upper from a guy, and it's got the Picatinny rail gas block as well as a flat top. I planned on using my EOTech 511 and am considering which BUIS to use. It's not going to be for all this high-speed stuff most likely so I'm looking for something pretty economical. The Bushmaster flip-up front looked good price-wise but then again there's the Rock River Arms removable front sight, which looks kind of like a standard A2 tower that slides onto the gas block and is $25 or $35 (can't remember which now).
