My friend said that he wanted to sell is Aimpoint M2 and mount for $400. The aimpoint is really new he only took it out to sight it in.  Is that a pretty good deal?

It depends on what the mount is.  If its a standard Aimpoint 30mm ring mount then no its not if its anything better then yes it is.

I just paid $378 (standard internet price)plus shipping for an Aimpoint M2.  You are paying about $20 bucks for a mount then ($400-$378).  Even if the mount is not ideal you still only have $20 in to it.  Not a bad deal.
