Okay, first of all I have no idea about any laws concerning night vision. If it is possible to own and use N.V. equipment on my ar15 for self defense, I would like to know a little more about it. I am only concerned about seeing within thirty yards, so I will not be looking at long range equipment. If you have any info, thanks you for your reply. John |
| If its just under 30 yards (I am assuming indoors) save yourself about $4000-7000 and just use a surefire flashlight. It is faster, cheaper and increases your situational awareness in CQB applications. If you wanted something for beyond 50 yds. and to be used outdoors then a night vision scope would be beneficial. Outdoors and under 50 yards get a head mounted PVS14 and an IR laser. Still $3000 total there for even the cheapest units. Legalities depend on your state but there is no problem here in TX dont know about FL. |
