I'm considering putting a new flat top upper together and had a thought......I plan on using a Burris Compact scope. Since the front sight height is about 2.5" from the center of the bore, how high must the scope be mounted in order to get the front sight tower out of the field of view? I'm thinking 2.75" or 3" may be good enough. Is this even a concern since the front sight tower is too close to be in focus?.............Any thoughts?

What magnification will the scope have? At 3.5-4 or greater, the front sight tower won't even be an issue.

FOR A PROPER CHEEK WELD, GO WITH SCOPE RINGS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR M4 FLAT TOP UPPER USE, WITH AN AXIS 1.4" ABOVE THE RECEIVER.

WHAT YOU PROPOSE IS FAR TOO HIGH (AND UNAVAILABLE).
