| Just bought a Reflex II (12.9 MOA Triangle). Took it to the reange the other day and have to say I absolutely love the thing. It really helps out accuracy at the longer distances and I had no trouble picking up the aiming point in the low light conditions of dusk. Great purchase and great product as far as I am concerned. |
| Glad to have you on board the Reflex Train. I'm still a firm believer in the simplicity and reliability of the Reflex. Recent improvements in battery (CET) technology, via the new Aimpoint, have made me look at other sights, but I still keep my Reflex mounted on my carbine, over my ACOG and other options. What mount are you using? If you have a flat-top/A3 upper, I'd suggest the ARMS #15 mount and #15S spacers. This makes it easier to remove the Reflex and put on magnified optics without the loss of zero. |

pomyc, We issue the ReflexII where I work, and we beat the living snot out of them. Our T&E of several different systems left the Reflex and the ACOG as last standing. The rest couldn't cut the mustard. It works! Glad ya found it as pleasing as we did,and do. Now..if ya come up with any ideas for a viable real world lens cover lemme know!!! All the best to ya! S-28 |
Have you tried this idea: groups.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite/improvethereflexii.msnw |

Forest, Thanks for the link to the info! No we have not tried that yet,as we have little cause to do so in our environment. We are either outdoors in the weather,or indoors in lighting that is close to dim. The butler creek cap over the gutted filter would work for the front of the lens, but the rear would still be open to rain and snow...and we carry muzzle down on the patrol sling. I'm cutting up some bicycle innertubes to make a makeshift reinforcement for the factory dust cover.I'm getting closer, but so far it ain't perfect yet. Somebody has gotta be putting a solution on the market! I have too many of the things to be spending time hacking up inner tubes. Lifes little challenges I guess. Thanks and Keep safe! S-28 |

Check with www.scopecoat.com. They make covers for most of the "tactical" optics. I have one for my Eotech 552, which would be similar in shape to the Reflex, and it comes off about as quickly as the flip-ups on my Aimpoint. If not quicker. The only drawback is that it does not look as cool. Call Scopecoat if you can't find what you need; they make lots of stuff that is not on their website and are happy to sell to individuals. |

Barrelnut!!!! Great minds stink alike!!! About 4 hours ago I was wondering about some sort of "Sock" with a pull tab attached for a quick removal.I completely forgot about Scopecoat!! DOHH!!! Thanks to the latest condition orange and hyperactivity,I will have to wait till Mon. or so,but I will be hollering at Scopecoat. I like what they do for the precision optics, but never considered them for the reflex. Many thanks, and a Beer or 4 should we ever meet!! Grazie Mille!!!! Keep safe! E4E |
