Are we talking just AR mags? I'm not 100% certain of the exact number, but its more than 2.

When my grandpa passed away I got all his playboys. It’s about 20-30 years worth. You should own enough to not remember half the women the next time to flip through one.
I’d say 100 playboys is a good start, but really you need at least 250 because eventually they fall apart. |

If you know how many magazines you have then you don't have enough.

I have mags that will probably never come out of their bags in my lifetime.

The MidwayUSA 12 AR-15 Magazine Case looks like a similar design, although I'm not sure how it compares in terms of durability. It seems tough enough to use for storage and transporting to the range. If I ever have to go to war again, I'll be taking my U.S. Grunt Gear 10/6 Mag Purse Bag with me. Kinda weak sauce on Midway's part to say you can only put 12 mags in their case! Attached File |

Quoted: But was it really? I mean, new mags were readily available in huge qty for around $25 per mag. Used were everywhere at $15 per. Nobody didn’t shoot as much as they wanted due to any shortage of mags. And AR15 mags weren’t prohibitively expensive. Now, Glock mags on the other hand, different story. Quoted: Curious how many mags you guys own. I currently only have 4 but plan on buying more. My LGS has plenty of Magpul pmag stock, so I’m not worried about them running out. Just not sure what an acceptable number of pmags would be. 10? 20? View Quote |

The correct answers are:
How many do I own? More than three How many is enough/how many do I need? 1 or 2 more This applies to guns, ammo, magazines, etc. |

What is the actual name of these bags? Also, is there other types of bags like these... From other manufacturers that have similar dimensions? Would love to pick a few of these bags for both AR and AK magazines. I’m more than good on magazines, especially Pmags and currently storing them all in plastic bins. Many of us have invested huge amounts of money on magazines since we lived through the 1994-2004 crime bill ban and clearly remember the 2012-2013 scare... Which “traumatized” many of us, to the point that we will not be caught with out pants down again. Heck, I don’t even own a M1 carbine, but thing of buying both 15 and 30 round magazines. As said earlier, every time you go into a gun shop, pick up one or two magazines. In no time, you will be sitting pretty while everybody else is running out and trying to buy those $9-$10 Pmags, if “Pedo Joe” wins in November. If “Pedo Joe” wins, be prepared to pay up to $50 for the same Pmags. |

More than I probably need, but not as many as I want.
I just ordered 21 more a few minutes ago, a mix of PMAG/Lancer/D&H .308 magazines, and Lancer L5AWM's.. Most of mine are stored in MTM mag cans, and I justified the order by telling myself that "Empty spaces make long faces". For just AR-15 magazines, I have 50. A mix of PMAG, Center Industries, Hexmag, Brownell's, and Lancers. |
