Hey All,

I know there seem to be two makers for the 7.62x39 AR magazines

C-Products & ASC -   I remember that the consensus was that ONE of those brands worked really well , and the other "not so well"

So, which Maker "C-Products" or "ASC" do I need to look for and order?

Thanks to Any and All for your constructive and helpful information

I can't answer your question as I am new to the X39 AR myself.

But I just picked up 5 of the CPD mags from SGAmmo so I will know soon...

ETA I can say that both of my X39 uppers have issues feeding JHP's from these mags. That is just from cycling a few rounds, haven't been to the range yet.
FMJ seems to feed fine.

D&H made some. Only one I have bought that has function 100% so far for me. Don't really shoot the rifle that often though. Only know one place that still has them.

I've been buying these, I've got 10,  20 and 28 rounders, they all work perfectly

Curious if anyone knows where to get a Heavier - Stronger Hammer Spring?

I'm not seeing it from Palmetto or Primary Arms

I had some heavier hammer springs that came from PSA, they didn't really help with the light strikes, a little but not the cure
I put the enhanced firing pins in all 3 of mine and that cured the light strikes 100%
and I was able to go with lighter trigger springs to boot.

These are both Gen III(3)

Almost 5000 rounds on 14 mags
I have 10 CPD Gen 3 30 rounders ordered from northriverllc and they work fantastic. I've had no feed problems with them. Highly reccomend

I also have 2 ASC 30's and the rounds feed up sluggish and are tighter in the magwell(not free drop). I don't reccomend these.

I also use 2 CPD Gen 3 20 rounders and they likewise work great.

Not to hijack but has anyone noticed any difference in function with the CPD 28 rounders?  They are significantly shorter.  I have had great luck with my CPD 30 rounders.

I have CPD, ASC, Windham and AR Stoner. They all work very well. There is a video on youtube that shows a mod to remove the rib inside the mag under the lip near the rear. Quick and easy. Havnt had one NOT be reliable yet.
