Are the 300blk pmags worth the money? I have Gen3 pmags and going to get more but working on on building a 300blk sbr right now. Are the new mags performance worth buying new mags for it?

No.
Just get some Lancers in a color that will be used for 300 BLK only and call it a day.

FPNI

I bought some on preorder but there's not enough difference from regular black PMAGs to be worth it. Some people have issues loading PMAGs (I never have) so Lancers are recommended.

The new Lancer 300BLK mags ?

No, just the regular 223/5.56. Most folks have no 300 BLK problems with these mags.

The only issue I have is it is very hard to insert a mag on a closed bolt. Do the .300 PMags help with that? I use Lancers, but I'd try Pmags

MSRP is only $1 more than the M3 5.56 mag. If you are buying mags for a new 300blk build might as well.

They have different followers marked "300", have the inside ribs a bit further back, and are marked 7.62x35 on the outside.

Initial impressions the quality of the M3 Pmag is definitely there.  Drops free empty and loaded and seats easily on closed bolt with a full 30. No binding etc when loading. The cosmetic difference is enough to help differentiate assuming you're familiar with 5.56 Pmags.

If they work properly I'll buy a few more for sure. I really want some 20 rounders though.

Other than markings,  is there any other significant difference than a m2 or m3 5.56 mag?

Wasn't the 300BLK purpose built to use ALL of standard ar15 parts, minus the barrel?

When everything is right, yes.

It's when you get so many possibilities of loadings and bullet depths some have issues.

Personally I feel as if I should be able to fill a mag with 30 different loads and still have zero issues, and I'm doing fine with 20rd G3 just fine.
 Ok....20 different loads ??
