I'm picking up a .300 Blk upper in the next few days and am trying to avoid any possible confusion between those and my 5.56 rounds. My idea is to keep them only in different magazines (i.e. 5.56 only in Magpul). I've been reading that some magazines are a bit iffy for the .300 Blk rounds, which leads me to my actual question. Does anyone have any experience with ProMag's "new" Rollermags? It seems to me that they would carry rounds straighter than a standard follower, but theory and reality don't always mix for me.
Anyone have any opinions on this, or have a magazine that has worked well for their 300 ammo? Thanks! |

If you have a choice of purchasing a ProMag or burning your money, I'd go with burning your money. Less stress. |

Why not use a different color Pmag? Or you could get some if these http://faxonfirearms.com/magazine-marker-bands/ Honestly, it's probably more that I want an excuse to buy more stuff, but I've segregated the colors I have now to .223 vs. 5.56 (I have a .223-only upper that I bought years ago for some reason). I did notice that D&H make a .300 Blackout-specific magazine, but I'm seeing varying views on those. Anyone check those out yet? They're inexpensive enough that I may order a few from Bravo Company to check them out. |
