I'm picking up a .300 Blk upper in the next few days and am trying to avoid any possible confusion between those and my 5.56 rounds.  My idea is to keep them only in different magazines (i.e. 5.56 only in Magpul).  I've been reading that some magazines are a bit iffy for the .300 Blk rounds, which leads me to my actual question.  Does anyone have any experience with ProMag's "new" Rollermags?  It seems to me that they would carry rounds straighter than a standard follower, but theory and reality don't always mix for me.

Anyone have any opinions on this, or have a magazine that has worked well for their 300 ammo?

Thanks!

If you have a choice of purchasing a ProMag or burning your money, I'd go with burning your money.

Less stress.

So apparently ProMags aren't universally loved.  Any suggestions for a good magazine that isn't a Magpul, then?

Why not use a different color Pmag? Or you could get some if these http://faxonfirearms.com/magazine-marker-bands/

Honestly, it's probably more that I want an excuse to buy more stuff, but I've segregated the colors I have now to .223 vs. 5.56 (I have a .223-only upper that I bought years ago for some reason).

I did notice that D&H make a .300 Blackout-specific magazine, but I'm seeing varying views on those.  Anyone check those out yet?  They're inexpensive enough that I may order a few from Bravo Company to check them out.

Sell the 223 upper.  Mark your .300 mags with a blue paint pen or tape.

Okay, I give.  Ordered some Gen 3 Magpuls.  Just need a paint marker for the little dot matrix thing on the bottom so I can mark them.

Get the all clear lancer mags.  Very nice mags, polymer mags with steel feed lips.  Ive been switching over to these from PMags.

That will be a lot easier then trying to reinvent the wheel.  And Lancers are great mags also as others have mentioned.

Agreed.  I use Lancer mags for 458 SOCOM and 300 Blackout.  PMAGs are only for .223 ammo.
