| I recently bought 10 new Bushmaster GI style magazines from apex gun parts when they were on sale for $3.75. Are Bushmaster 30rd mags GTG or did I order 10 paperweights? These are the aluminum mags with green followers I believe. I did a google search and found nothing. I would really like the hives opinion. |

I don't know who the OEM is for current Bushmaster magazines. If they have a cage code when you get them you can post it and we can figure out if they are a .mil supplier or not. I suspect they will all work just fine. I heard from some people that they were made by D&H, can anyone confirm? |

On the website the floorplate was marked B.F.I. and something about Windham. |

I have some from various Bushys I've had. They always worked well for me. Nothing fancy but quite functional. That is a hellova deal you got yourself. Good to know thanks. Even with the stupid expensive shipping I got the mags for $5.95 each shipped so I figured hey still a good deal. |

I have only one bushmaster magazine, and it was made by C-products (cage code 6m9n8 - even though it's marked "B.F.I." and has the bushmaster snake logo on the floorplate; came with a gun a couple years ago.) Don't know if all bushmaster mags are C-products or not, but based on the cage code, this one is.

I got mine in today and they are stamped "BFI, Ilion, NY, USA." They have grey followers but I have no idea what kind they are. They dont look like the magpul follower. These have a bullet design instead of the rectangle on top on the follower. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s143/photosBKL/B21722A1-1B1F-4B1B-A71F-FF0B39EC5A2B.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s143/photosBKL/4BE9EFFA-3097-4A8D-9515-FFD9AE4D9F79.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s143/photosBKL/D49B83E5-FDDD-4ED2-9A44-B40DDA0E3346.jpg Any numbers or letters (cage code) on the mags? |

That's an ASC follower

Then I guess they are ASC mags. Reviews I've read seem to indicate they are good mags. |

One thing to keep in mind, a Cage Code # doesn't mean they EVER had a U.S. Military contract. Weird thing I encountered recently - I ordered a ten-pack of NHMTG 30's, and while I have no doubt they're genuine, they don't have a cage code on them anywhere. Does nhmtg not supply the military? I always assumed so, but maybe it's just them supplying mags for others (Okay, etc) who turn around & sell them to mil...? |

Okay Industries manufactures magazines with the following markings... Okay Industries (Approved and procured by the U.S. Military) Colt (Approved and procured by the U.S. Military) NHMTG (not an approved U.S. Military supplier) |

I believe that's a D&H cage code, but not positive. Also, might check to see if that leading "0" is actually a "Q". Quoted:

I thought D&H's code was Q4T04, but I just looked at one & it's 04TQ4. I guess memory is the first thing to go. Or is it the second...? I forget. |
