I've got three beautiful magazines from Keepshooting.com. I mean these are really made well, resemble H&K steel mags, called "Enhanced Mags.)

Trouble is, none of them work in any of my AR's. So I called the company and was told to screw off. Further told , "you only paid 10 bucks apiece for them, don't cry.

True enough, but still wanted a better explanation as to why of the 100 mags I've got, these beauties won't work.

Going to vote with my wallet and not buy from them, ever!

I'm guessing that you're referring to C-products mags?  What problems are you having?

I do not believe so. I own many C-Product mags, and all work fine. No, these are from Keep Shooting .com. and are their steel, Teflon coated mags.

Great to look at, but no matter how I file, grind, clean, I just can't make them work. I'm not alone, I've seen other threads about this. I thought if I call the

Keep Shooting and told them about it, they'd offer to replace, no deal however. The company owner admitted there was a problem a few years ago,

but refused to credit me my purchase. Oh well. If anyone's got a fix for the jamming and not feeding problems, I'd like to hear it. The mags fit fine, but

the bolt is not able to strip a new cartridge from the mag, not even one.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the magazine? With the abortion of a web site they have I highly doubt they make their own mags.

Are they a subsidiary of CTD?

What name is stamped on the floorplate? Can you dispute the charges on your card?

If a company gave that type response (after selling a flawed product), I'd be more determined to get payback! Sure, it's not a lot of money, but they sold crap mags.
This is why many will not try "unknown" mags, many of us have owned, or bought a bad mag (I know I have), thanks OP for the heads up.

That company just made my IGNORE list, every company makes mistakes , it is how they handle complaints that defines them. They can "screw off".

Good luck OP, I hope you get satisfaction from the seller. Companies with that attitude need to fail (when they don't stand behind what they sale) < and they even put their name on them  >.

Edit--> If these were recent buys, and put on a credit card, you have that dispute protection  Again, screw them !!
The following is snipped from that listed page:

Thank you and I agree. The floor plate reads...KEEP SHOOTING.com, and the magazine body reads...ENHANCED MAGIZINE 5.56X45.

Like I say, gorgeous steel body, anti-tilt follower, slick black body, but just won't work in any of six AR's.

They make a variety of in house magazines.  Sounds like I won't ever be buying anything from them.

I can't believe they told you that. What kind of business practice is that? Especially with this website and how far it reaches. Business' are made or destroyed by their ethics/practices, and they seem like they don't have any.

I've got a bunch of their Greasegun mags, the feed lips took some tweaking to feed like the originals.

Could grab a pair of calipers and some small channel locks, or try one of these:

I have one of their grease gun mags.
Expensive experiment that turned out bad, but it does look good.

HI,

The magazines are made in Taiwan.  From Keepshooting.com

"This Enhanced 5.56 Magazine was originally designed to participate in an open solicitation for an improved
STANAG magazine for a new assault rifle that is being developed in Taiwan"

"With a 35+ year history developing M16 style weapons, the Taiwanese defense industry understands the
importance of making quality defense articles. This magazine builds upon the proven track record of
manufacturing defense goods that stand up to threats both foreign and domestic. You will be proud to add
this quality magazine to your inventory of magazines and it will serve you well."

Keepshooting.com Enhanced Magazine

My guess from your results that these are overruns from the original lot made up for testing in the trials
and these guys didn't win from your results. My take was this is a STANAG compliant magazine but not
necessaryily for an AR.  The P-Mag and Magpul have run into problems with the STANAG compliant  HK416 and
M-27 because although they will accept P-Mags the feed lips aren't optimized for HK made rifles.  I suspect
that you may have mags made for a Taiwan rifle.  Keepshooting.Com  is also sold out too so the likelyhood of an
exchange is not high.  Thanks for posting posting the warning: Caveat Emptor.

Best Regards:

You guys are very correct!

Not only do I learn something new everyday, I learn something on this web site every hour it seems! Thank you for a great sounding board.

Would replacing the follower and spring solve your issues?

OP - Thanks for the heads-up. That's messed up.

Not to be a smart alec, but a new D&H magazine would likely solve them better, and probably not cost much more.

Well a pack of 3 Magpul followers only cost $8-10, could be worth a try

Because the mag bodies are so well built and so good-looking, I tried to replace BOTH the springs and followers, no luck.

All the springs I tried felt like a hydraulic piston trying to push up the next round. Couldn't get the rifle to strip off the next round.

Even tried to file a bit off the mag lips, I finally gave up. Guessing the problem is the mag body itself.

That's the way things go sometimes, find a nice body but can't seem to live with it!

I've purchased many 8-10 dollar mags since and had zero issues.

Thanks for the ideas thou.

Agree if it's just followers; I was thinking you meant new springs and new followers both. Probably run $6-$8 total per magazine, I'd imagine.

Pull the followers and springs out, fill them with caulk or silicone and make mag well vises out of them. Clamp them in a vise for cleaning or serviceing your AR's. Cheaper than buying a mag block.
