Thoughts and opinions on DSG mags? Any experiences?
(example sku# MA-02DSGT) |
| Buy them and never think twice about it. I have several hundred D&H mags in various colors with and without the Magpul followers. The "older" ones with green followers have been 100% through numerous classes, range sessions, etc. As others have stated, they are in my opinion the best mag out there, YMMV. |

How does the teflon coating hold up? I've only used mags with the dry-film coating. A couple of years ago, I bought a pile of very used mags. Caked in mud, wrapped in duct-tape, rode-hard-put-away-wet mags. Long story short, one was a D&H black teflon, and after the crap was cleaned off, it literally looked brand new. |

+1 These are D&H Industries made mags with Teflon finish inside and out made from former US military supplier LaBelle tooling.
Also as stated in their description they have the latest Magpul gen 3 FDE color followers which is a DSG Arms exclusive color, mil-spec SS springs and the one you are looking at are FDE Teflon finished, they're also available in gray and black finish. Out of my over 100 mags around more than 60 percent of mine are DSG or D&H mags (from Bravo Company) and the ones I got with standard military green followers I replaced all of them with Magpul gen 3 anti tilt followers, most of mine are about half gray half black finish and have several FDE color also, all mine runs great no problems. My oldest D&H mags I had been using for about 7 years now, these are the first 30 rd mags that I bought after the expiration of the AWB, still works great, the finish on them are still like new, compared to my 30 yr very old Colt mags that the finish are almost all gone, I'm betting these Teflon finish will mostly be intact for a very long time. As with any brand mags make sure you test them out about 3 full loads or over 100 rounds to make sure they're 100 percent reliable. |

As said above, they're good to go. I always had an affinity with PMAGs (still do) but I bought one of DSG's kits that came with two kydex AR mag holsters and 5 of the DSG black teflon mags. I love those mags, and hopefully I'm able to buy some more after this craziness dies down, assuming we dont get a magazine ban, as I really like them.
I wish I could of grabbed a few of the orange ones for traning-only mags, but never got around to it. |
