Those mags are FDE. Don't worry so much about how they look, it's almost impossible to match the color of different products, i.e. , stocks, grips, mags, hand guards, even when they're from the same manufacturer. Pmags and MagPul products are Top Shelf and work. If they don't, the folks at Magpul have excellent customer service and will help you out. I've never had to use their customer service because all of the stuff i purchased works very well. |

Trying to match colors from a computer monitor will always be difficult at best and almost impossible at least. Yup. Camera settings play a role too, plus many of the online hosting services process the files on upload which can effect colors too. Ambient lighting can reek havoc on photographs, with incandescent, fluorescent, LED, and natural lighting producing dramatically different results. |

Anybody remember when black was the "it" color?
I like the FDE, but my rifles are black all the way. Black isn't the "it" color anymore because nothing in nature is black... That's why guns are turning earth colors now. Even the firearms business is going green! |

FDE is very reactive to lighting changes. That's one of the reasons it was developed. It looks almost tan in bright desert sunlight, but looks almost brown in a dark wooded area. In any event, it's a much more naturally ocurring color than black.
They say your rifle should match your environment. My couch is called "camel" suede and it's a great fit for the beige paint on my walls too.

Maybe you should tell that to things like cape buffalo, jaguars, many snakes, and such. Many animals that are accented in black, have an ability to hide quite well. Like zebras, tigers, leopards, and the like. That said, I like colors. LOL |
