How are the C Product 9mm mags? I tried Cproducts... I tried promag (plastic and metal)... I tried modified Uzi mags... The Cproducts were junk. The promags were junk. The uzi mags were fine, but do not have last round hold open. I sold them all. Now I only use 20rd and 30rd Colt and Metalform mags. I am done with fooling around with mags when I could be shooting. OP, metalform/Colt mags are expensive compared to others, but in the long run you will be so much happier you have 100% functional mags and do not have to be modifying your mags to get them to run with your gun. Get the metalform/Colt, anything else is just a waste of time and money. |

How are the C Product 9mm mags? I had 5 or six. Not one worked. I mentioned something about it in another thread when CProducts was still around....one of the guys there caught wind of my post and shot me an IM asking if I'd try some newer ones...I said sure, they never showed up at my door. So this being said, I run Metalform mags only now. My 9mm AR hasn't been the same since. |

I have a RRA middy 9mm.
I had 18 30rnd black follower matte CP mags and they were shit. CP exchanged them for new orange follower mags and no problems in about 5yrs now. Only difference i saw were; 1. Orange follower 2. Gloss finish rather than matte 3. Two vertical dimples that look like ll on both sides at top under feed lips |

Not saying Cproducts mags weren't junk at one point, but for half the price of a metal form it was worth a shot and works great. |

In the end, CP mags are much like dollar store products. They are cheaper than quality product and sometimes you can get lucky and find a good product at a low price, sometimes you end up with junk. Sometimes the dollar store product ends up working pretty good over the long haul, sometimes it doesn't.
Same goes for the polymer promag 9mm mags. If you aren't terribly risk averse, buy some CP or promags and try them out to be sure they will work in your setup or require any mods. If you don't like taking chances and don't want to risk the possibility of ending up with junk, just spend the money on the metalforms and be done with it. You're basically talking $25-30 for Metalforms and $15-20 for CPs. If you decide to buy Colt branded mags and are paying a premium for them, be careful and make sure you are buying the metalform variety and not the CP variety that were made for a short while. It is very easy to tell a metalform mag from a CP mag, just look at pics of both on the interwebs and don't get fooled by the Colt mark on the floorplate... Good luck whatever you choose. |
