| I want to take my ar out when scouting, and pop a coyote or two if I see one, so I need a 5 rd magazine. Anybody have experience with 5 rd mags. I couldn't find any other threads, sorry if this is a repeat topic. |

I found these, they seem decently priced.
WTS: TAPCO AR15 5 Round Composite Magazine $12.99 |
| I just bought a Thermold 5 round mag from a local shop for $14. This will only be for hunting...The feel of the Thermold is nothing like that of a PMAG. The PMAG just feels like it is of a higher quality. I probably should have just bought the 5 found limiter for my 20 round PMAG. Oh well, live and learn. |

Brownell's sells a five-rounder by made by "John Masen." I have two and they are great. I use them shooting off the bench which is much easier than using a 20 or 30 rounder.
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=8741/avs%7CManufacturer_1=JOHN%20MASEN/Product/AR-15-M16-MAGAZINE $19.99 or $16.78 if you have the discount. |

I had problems with this one not always letting the bolt close all the way when fully loaded to 5 rounds. With 4 it was fine. But with 5 occasionally I would hit the bolt release then have to hit the FA a time or to to put it into battery. Quoted: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=593609 Here is another. Stainless steel typical magazine construction for $15.99 |
